small to BIG

by David Twiddy

I would like to introduce myself as the newest member of the ProvideX Sales and Marketing team. My previous employer was a much smaller company that provides software written in Business BASIC for the financial sector. There my responsibilities included programming, hardware setup, support, sales, training, coffee making, and garbage removal.

The transition from small to big can sometimes be overwhelming, but here at ProvideX I have found quite the opposite. A dedicated group of professionals at ProvideX provides that small company feeling of rallying to get things done and the flexibility to react quickly (“no” is not in our vocabulary). All the while our parent, The Sage Group, supplies the stability and resources that only comes from a big industry player.

I have been privileged to speak with some of you already, and hope to talk to more of you soon. My goal over the next year or so is to get Wendy to go on vacation without bringing her Blackberry along.

Here are some of the things we’re currently up to at ProvideX.

It’s survey time again.
How are you doing? How are we doing?
Please take the time to let us know in the upcoming questionnaire coming to you by e-mail in **November**.
And, as always, all survey data is confidential and will remain so. So, let us have it!

A new PSG initiative starts this fall.
Whether you or your clients need conversion, programming, or training assistance our new Professional Services Group can help.
We’ve added more staff to our development and support team, creating a larger pool from which extra resources can be drawn.

Beta testing for Version 7.5 is about to begin.
Valuable features are on tap like WindX compression, NOMADS enhancements, and a ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse, just to name a few.
The new Plug-in will require a v7 activation key, so if you haven’t upgraded to v7 yet now’s the time. Look for more about the ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse and NOMADS enhancements from the experts in this newsletter.

Summer 2007 is a long way off, but big plans need to start early.
Direxions 2007 is schedule for summer 2007 with dates and a location soon to be revealed. Wendy has assured me you won’t need to be a marathon runner to get from seminar to seminar.

As you can see, we have big things on the horizon for ProvideX partners. No detail too small. No issue too big. Rely on us to keep your business moving forward to bigger and better successes. Talk to you soon – D.T.
